Every year we receive more funding proposals than we can possibly support, so it's important for us to prioritise our funding projects to ensure the more effective ones are allowed to progress.
We give priority to proposals that focus on improving outcomes for the most disadvantaged and excluded children and young people, for example:
- Cared for children and those leaving care
- Young carers
- Homeless people
- Those at risk of offending or ex-offenders
- Young people not in education, employment or training
The Trust also gives priority to:
- Befriending and mentoring schemes, in particular those involving continuing support after major assistance, help and/or intervention.
- Proposals to deliver strategic improvements to services across Scotland for children and young people.
- Proposals for improving educational outcomes for vulnerable groups such as looked after young people.
Applications must demonstrate how their proposals will deliver improved continuity of support for the young people involved.
