Venture Trust
Laidlaw Youth Trust wishes to fund activities which result in better outcomes for the organisations and their young clients. So the Trust places great importance on evaluation and learning from experience. It also seeks value for money – to make the best use of the available funding.
Measuring outcomes can seem difficult but there are good sources of advice and help. And, as the Trust is interested in results, reporting requests will be kept to the minimum so that staff can focus on delivery. But we must know what has been achieved. That allows the Trust to identify good approaches, capable of being rolled out more widely. LYT wishes to help the sharing of knowledge about what really works (and what has not) so will always place emphasis upon evaluation and learning.
Additional services
In addition to funding projects and service delivery, the Trust wants to assist charities to develop and grow. To help with that aim, LYT has a range of other services including evaluation advice, fundraising and capacity building support on offer.
